What is camp xi

Camp XI is an annual creative film camp tailored to middle and high school aged students.

This three week summer camp brings children together to plan, produce, and pitch a short film that will be showcased at the end of the camp for their family, friends, and the community.

During these three weeks, students are introduced to skills that will expand their knowledge and familiarity with what goes into producing films.

They are broken into small groups and work together to compose and execute a film project.

During Camp XI, our students have mentors and special guests in the film, entertainment, media and television industries that they gain valuable insight, and knowledge from.

Campers are exposed to different career opportunities which will allow them to utilize their artistic skills, interests and abilities. KBM just finished its 2nd annual Camp XI.

Our first year of Camp XI we partnered with the Boys and Girls Club Whitehead location and had our camp there.

This past Summer, due to COVID-19 we had to have our camp virtually. Both years had an amazing turnout and we are excited to continue to have Camp XI available to our youth during the summer.
